Lightbulb Is it worth it

Ok so i played guild wars since launch date. Played through all campaigns and after Eye of the North got a little bored with the game. So i ventured off to more platformed base games, played some Final Fantasy XI, which i loved but i lacked friends who play it, and some Phantasy Star, which was another great game. I've been really wanting to get back into Guild wars though, the thing that is bothing me is that a lot has changed scince i've played and i know that Guild Wars 2 is comming out SORT of soon. I still want to play my dervish, in my opinion it is the best class for me. I was just wondering if you guys could help me out. Is it worth getting back into Guild Wars with the sequal comming, also if you agree to a return could people please list some important info on some of the major changes that have been made to the game. It was really frustrating and funny at the same time, i feel like such a noob for playing the game from launch date lol. Thanks to all of the responses in advance.

It's gonna be a bit for GW2---play and hang out with your friends, its a game, enjoy it, don't feel obligated to do anything

I honestly don't understand the question. You've already bought the games, you're not paying a monthly fee, you still enjoy playing and the GW1 servers will still be going after GW2 is launched(whenever that may be).

So what does the sequel have to do with whether you return or not?

idk for me these games are an investment of time so i guess the question would have been better worded is it worth investing my time into this, but thank you for the responses i guess i miss-understood the expected release for GW2.

1. No one knows when GW2 will be released.

2. Go out and have fun in GW. As said, you already own it and there is no monthly fee to play.

3. Even if GW2 was being released in 09, it is still worth playing GW now. It's a great game.
